FAQ

What Bible version is this?

The FreshLook Bible uses the King James Text.

Will other translations be made? (NIV, ESV, NLT, etc.)

We are working on the Spanish version. It's too early to announce other plans until we finalize Spanish.

Are there changes to the Text?

We have not changed the words or the order of the words. Some number words are displayed in numerical format. (Large numbers, numbers in charts, and dates are displayed in their numerical form. For example, "one thousand five hundred thirty and seven" is "1,537")

What devices does Digital work on?

The FreshLook Bible PDFs can be accessed with any device that has a PDF Reader, though we don't recommend reMarkable or Kindle currently because of interactivity/setup issues. (Apple, Windows, and Android have all been well-tested.)

Will you make a WireBound or single volume LeatherBound edition?

We are planning to do both. It's too early to say when though: it will likely take over $10,000 in equipment to produce WireBound at scale and probably $150,000 to do a single volume LeatherBound.

At a minimum, it will be a few months for WireBound, but possibly longer. We will make an announcement on our newsletter when it's time for launch. Sign up below!

What font size is used?

Books use a 9 point font. The Digital PDFs are zoomable to any size.

Panoramas use an 8 point font by default, but custom-scaled versions can be made!

Why did you go through all this effort?

FreshLook Bible is rooted in a healthy fear of taking the Scriptures out of context. In Joshua's pursuit to understand and teach the Bible better, he discovered how impactful layout and design is on the Text.

He was encouraged to make his work public, and now people around the world have shared how it has been a blessing to their reading & study!

Do you have special discounts available?

Rather than year-round discounts for certain groups, we try to keep pricing as low as is sustainable.
